as topic says. Should I go, or wait. I'm a lvl 13 troll barbarian 40 STR 31 toughness, 220 HP, around 30 PV. I don't have Ring of Ice but I can bring in the tower : a helm 3 PV, Ankh, BDSM(lol?) black dragon scale mail.., Grod (artifact mace (fire immunity ftw)),Ring of damage, Another ring (dunno, maybe invisibility?) and Boots 3 PV. 6 PoEH 106 speed, on demand teleportation. errr what more.. Find Weakness, lvl 10 2 hander weapon skill. No source of darkness (just raided Water dragon cave, almost killed mommy dragon in 3 hits haha) I have an AoLS but i'm scared it will burn from the tower heat, and I also have 10 SoCR stashed away. And a potion of youth in case of ghosts. So i just don't want to ruin this promising char while going tower too early!

Personally I THINK you should be fine. Six PoEH... Hope they're blessed... It depends. If you insist on engaging the wyrm in an open and honourable duel, you're going to get shock attacked for a good amount of damage (yes, even with blue dragon scale mail, which I'm not sure you have, does BDSM stand for the black one?), then there's a chance you'll die if you're not very careful, but if your piety is decent, you have enough heals left.

On the other hand, you don't have to make it an open and honourable duel... Got any potions of blindness, confusion, cursed ones of invisibility, or wands of paralyzation or stunning? Especially the potions and the wand of paralyzation are awesome against the wyrm (you can also poison him with potions of poison!), and since you have more than enough offensive power at your disposal (Grod + 40 STR + level 10 two-handers + tremendous bl... Oh wait, you don't get that till level 18, right? Mighty blow should suffice) it should be easy enough. Anything but the wyrm should be easy as cake for you - aforementioned raw offensive power, 30 PV and 220 HP are very much fine (what is your DV though?)

Ring of invisibility is an excellent choice to kind of make up for your probably subpar DV. Few of the monsters in the Temple see invisible. You might be able to sneak right into the middle of them and engage the wyrm head-on while being surrounded by elementals and grues that can't even see you! (Only the wyrm and chaos servants can, if I'm not mistaken...)
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"
Which direction? (123456789) 4
Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated.
You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd!

For most PC's, you should have the Elemental Guantlets and the Water Orb before trying the ToEF. This is an (almost) unlimited source of emergency healing that is fireproof. Being at such a low exp. level will cause you to suffer more critical hits (at least in my exp.). I would advise trying to get at least one more level before going in there. Give your AoLS to Khelly, kill everything in between you and the fire wall, then do the ToEF.

P.S.
Just want to give a quick warning about the Cat Lord. It is horrible to take down the ToEF, only to have the invisible Cat Lord critically hit you seven times in a row for an insta-death. Lure him to a different level, webs+teleport+blindness will work fine.
Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong!

(was me in the first post, i just registered)

To Gut :

Invisible cat lord? My "kitty Karma" is fine so far. One AoLS has already been delivered to Khelly (this is the 2nd i find) thus my 10 SoCR. But yeah the water orb sounds like a good idea.

To Silfir : Did not notice Blue and Black start both with B (was late when i posted :P) anyways i do have both. I did not know the blue one reduce damage from the wyrm rays, good to know. My DV is in the eraly 20's (Grod taking like 8 of it)and my "low" dex (21) dont make up for it (found no moss ...) As for the alternate ways, i have only a wand of stunning... might not be very effective.

So I guess I will take both suggestion at once :P, go get the water orb, equip de blue mail, and hope i got one of the nice potions or wand during that time. Then im on to smack that sucker.

I'd not go try it with a wand of stunning - it's not hopeless, but not perfect either. But if you don't have the water orb yet, do get it. The extra willpower will make you a bit less susceptible to confusion attacks yourself. Even if you do get confused, remember that you can clean your ears to avoid staggering around and hitting people while invisible!

Did the tower, been SOOO easy... invisible, slain a few demon (Grod is PERFECT for the tower ..)took t strike at the wyrm, it died. Walked away of the fight unscratched! This char just made it to the casino, 2 AolS in stock, 9 SoCR GoGS (now 64 STR) Seven league boots, Crown of leadership... insane character. I should not say that but i can't see how i would die (if i play caution and clever of course). Maybe the chaos archmage, but i have Death ray resist and plenty of slaying ammos and im not bad at using a bow (lvl 7) still low on lvl tho haha only 17

Hah, very nice going. Looks like you can storm through the rest of the game reasonably easily. The invis ring should always be kept handy against any sort of ghost though (none of them can see invis). And don't get overconfident with any greater undead vaults!
Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse."
