Why did I take my climbing set into the minotour maze with me? One acid trap and now I cant get back to the main game. That was dumb, even have two spare in the ogre cave. Also why did I try to convert an altar when I have poison hands? All my equipment is now cursed, cant remove my sword to put on my thick gauntlets, cant use potions of holy water as they auto convert into poison. I'm currently desperately seeking a ratling duelist to disarm me, and anything that can provide a climbing set. This character is a dead cert ULE if I can just get a climbing set. It was all going so well until I thought, lets do the maze. I seem to want to kill this character as slowly as possible. |

This is why you should stay the hell away from the Minotaur Maze :P I have regretted every trip I've ever made in there. You can still drop into the rift and buy the climbing set at the bottom (you don't need one to get in, though it'll be a bumpy fall). Might ever find yourself an altar to build up some piety on. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

> Why did I take my climbing set into the minotour maze with me HAHAHA AHAHAHA HA AHAA HA HA HAAAH! Ha ha haah ha ha. ... Oh! AHA HAHA HA HA HA! Ha ha haahahaha, ha hahaaaa ha. I'm just kidding of course. I was in that exact same situation once. I had to enter the rift and raise cash for a climbing set just like Darren's saying. Just when I had enough, I decided to do a bit of livesaccing. A stray ratling thief pickpocketed me just before I sacced him... goodbye gold : ) Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

Thanks guys. I'm now feeling truly dumb. I forgot that you dont actually need a climbing set to enter the library. I've got tons of cash and can easily buy the climbing set. At lvl 31 the library doesnt scare me at all. The chaos scrolls reward will be very useful now. |

The ratling is a thief. He's just asked for 224,513 gold for the climbing set. Ok so I'm as ugly as a warthog with a personality to match, but thats excessive. Fortunatly I'm also very rich. Will he ever offer another set? |

That's the highest price I've ever heard! You must have killed some of his family or something : ) I really think that may have set a record. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

Um, you do need a climbing set to enter the Library, you just don't need one to enter the Rift. (YES FINALLY A DECENT POINTLESS NITPICK) EDIT: You don't need a climbing set to enter the Library, but you do need one to get there from the Minotaur Maze :) (AUTO-NITPICK!) You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west. Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?" Which direction? (123456789) 4 Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated. You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd! On the subject of the price, it also exactly matched the amount of gold I have. Charisma of 1 must have had an effect |

Really? Exactly? I suspect the amount of gold the player currently has acts as a ceiling for the price. There is probably also a minimum price. |

I'm going in with a stack of negative gold, just to see : ) Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

Well I know he's asked for more than I had before, so there must be a minimum (50k gold I think). Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

In that case, couldn't you just drop most of your gold, and buy it at a quarter of the price? Seems a little stupid of the trader... |
