If you sell a corpse to a shop, it doesnt rot while within the shop. However if you sell it and then buy it back again, does the rotting process begin again. I suspect that it is a dumb question, and the answer is yes it will rot away. Reason for asking is I'm looking to scum the darkforge pools for a wish to get AOLS. Dont want to lose teleport control, so have two blink dog corpses stashed. Want to take one with me so that if I do lose control, I dont have to fight through the whole level to get out. |

Blessing the corpse will restart the rot counter. If you have enough holy water then you shouldn't have any major issues with it rotting away. From personal experience though it's not too much bother to fight your way out to get back to Terinyo for the corpse, unless you're quite low level (in which case pool-sipping can be dangerous anyway). Ring of teleport control can also help of course. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

A ring or amulet of teleport control - or a cooked or blessed blinkie - is essential for low-level pool-sipping. I delay Khelly past the Tomb of the High Kings if I have to, and usually killing enough stuff there will get me something I can use. You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west. Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?" Which direction? (123456789) 4 Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated. You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd! |

Thanks guys Went without the corpse, should have taken one as I had one spare. Lots of useless stuff from the pools, then lost teleport control, next drink wish, decided to carry on drinking until I got control back (big risk if I got teleportitis), didnt have a chance if I had to fight my way back. As luck would have it, control was regained the very next drink !!!!. Teleported out and am about to save Khelly. Looking good this one. Just have to avoid anything stupid and its a dead cert ULE. |
