I just pickpocketed Whirlwind from a regular ratling archer in DD 5. This is the first time I've ever pickpocketed an artifact, period. What's the strangest artifact find you can think of? |

Ok...this isn't very interesting, but was strange for me...I usually don't find artifacts early...but I got Bracers of War off a gnoll or hyena in UD1...just a random drop. |

Well... Named Chaos Brother guarding black tome on SMC (back when I was unspoiled... when I read it, that was my first corruption. Still remember it - mana battery). I don't often just find artifacts, only in greater vaults if I get that far, or Casino. Last one I remember was Emerald Dagger from D:4, lesser undead vault. 1l= Y0(_) [4l\l R34[) 7l-l15, Y0(_) l\/l(_)57 83 PR377Y G00[). |

The ACW once dropped Executor for me. I thought "Gee thanks, woulda been nice earlier but I guess I'll find some use for it..." Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

Serpent's Bite just dropped off an orc in a vault in UD2...while it bites, it's still not that bad for a newb character to play around with till something better comes along. |

Yeah, I'm beginning to notice that...my guy is a high elf archer and was close to dying from starvation because i was finding no food...i couldn't use the bite because i was scared of dropping a poisoned corpse...got it under control now tho... |

I'm playing dwarf priest right now that found Bracers of War on UD 5 and Skullcrusher on D3. Either one of those finds would be weird for me...together, so early in the game it's bizarre...can't remember if I had any weird birth messages but I haven't seen a lot of vaults or anything and neither artifact was a random drop...but "surges of power"... |

Serpents Bite really is a nice weapon. Humanoid slaying comes in handy. Its pretty decent for an archer too for killing doppelgangers. |

You can pickpocket stuff that weighs 10s or less. So off the top of my head I'd say you can pickpocket preserver, BoW and whirlwind, maybe something else too. The one thief ability might help you get other stuff too, I forget, haven't played for a while now. |

Well, it seems that I've done it again. I pickpocketed the Bracers of War from an orc at the bottom of the puppy dungeon. I don't think I could have asked for any better loot than that. Also, just earlier in the same game, I pickpocketed an elven chain mail, too. |

Once I found "Staff Of The Archmagi" in a lesser vault at UD1. Also had an artifact generated in Black Market one day ("Skullcrusher" for some 160,000 GP). Oh my, I'm so lonely and need some company |
