For Your Interest - in plain terms, the writer acknowledges that there's a very good chance no one will care about what they're about to say, but presses on anyway. At the very least, even if used snarkily, it displays a basic sense of perspective and a modicum of respect and humility by allowing for the possibility that others might not care, even if the writer is convinced they absolutely should.
