Hope you're not a Christian, Ned, 'cause if you are, that's an awfully not-Christian way to behave...

The Christian way is subjective

Well here, let uncle Ned enlighten you...
The Christian way is defined by individual veiws, the bible provides a guideline but it does not brainwash us all to think of God the same way. There are many ways the bible can be read and understood, and each person may have there own interpretation of what they have experienced.
Many Christians I have heard, condemn homos as dirty and evil. Some have different veiws.
Hence why Christianity and with any religion even with strict guideline, it is personnel and individual and has room for a lot of free thought. Hence why lots of debating exists on the matter of religion.

Aargh. I can't believe I am agreeing with Uncle (T/N)ed about something. This is your fault, Iridia.

All I can counter with is that I believe that there are correct and incorrect interpretations of the Bible. BMB, if I disagree with somebody about a teaching in the Bible relating to a specific situation, at least one of us is wrong (It could be that both of us have the wrong interpretation) For example, I think Uncle (T/N)ed posted an incorrect interpretation about homosexuality (although I think he was being ironic)

Unfortunately, since my own fear/desires/pride/etc. could be clouding my judgement, I can not be 100% certain the other person is wrong. Therefore, I have to acknowledge that functionally Christian "Truth" is subjective, even if in actuallity it is not.

I have half an empty heart.

If my heart is empty, half of my empty heart is also empty.

The glass that is half empty can never be half full.

0/2 = 0!

Half of the glass may be empty.
The glass may be halfway between full and empty.
The glass will never be half empty.

Never start a discussion about this topic again.

p.s. There are lots of strange people about, neh?

The existance of religion is to give people some sort of hope for the empty existence of death.
