The code does not predict with 100% accuracy, that has already been proven. IIRC, nuclear holocaust was also predicted for sometime in the 1990s (forgot exactly when). It isn't a dead certainty. |

I think the problem here is a difference of thought; I am a diehard skeptic (well, for everything but religion), while you are a determined Bible-Code believer. Therefore, if we look at codes and try to compare them to the future, you will surely make up a connect and I will surely see none. Finally, there really is no way to make a double-blind test I know of. So, I propose a "past test": A) Find codes that talk about past events. If the past contradicts such code, then the codes are untrue. For example, "And Hitler will die by the atomic bomb." or B) Find two codes that contradict one another. For example, "America will rise in 1776," and "America will fall in 1776." Both of these assume all codes found in the bible are true. If not, then how do we know which codes to trust? |

Ok, Echo, one thing that's been bothering the hell out of me is HOW is the US gonna be ripped apart this year and them still having time to get that bloody Mondex chip you were on about a while ago? EDIT: And I still want to know who died on the 8th of January. I also love how they say babylon (Which doesn't exist anymore) and in others they speak the current names! WTF? Oh, yeah, an earthquake followed by a tsunami in Asia? Heh, not to unlikely! I can predict that there will be at least one more like that! Seriously, there are a ton of those, this one was just badly handled because it evolved in strength very quickly. If they hadn't ignored it (since it started out as what would just have been a big wave, but quickly rose to power), nothing would have happened. I've also noticed that the translation in the program is quite poor, and a lot of words can as someone said earlier be translated into a lot of things, hence, a lot of mistranslations are possible. I also completley love how they seem to "fix" translations later on after they have happened! Many of those are also very vague (Even I can predict that there will be earthquakes and tsunamis that people will die from!). Names can also be "twisted" to mean what they see fit, or perhaps, *gasp*, they are named after stuff in the bible codes? And what about Nagasaki, they don't mention that anywhere? There's just so much BS in this that I really don't feel like even believing it for a minute. So easy to manipulate and scare people. ok, I checked out the link and read about how they explain that the bible codes are true, and I'm not convinced. I'd believe these more if they were in a row, but now you see the lines are in diffrent places. If you did this with a long enough forum post I'm quite sure you could find notes of say 9/11 or a tsunami in asia or alike (one song's lyric had a "bible code thingy" like that). |
