Hey all guys and gals, how about a little adom competition to spice up the gaming experience? Sign up if you're interested. The goal: To win the game and leave DC alive. The rules: 1. You can choose any race. 2. Available classes: -Fighter -Ranger -Assassin -Monk -Weaponsmith -Paladin -Barbarian -Beastfighter As you can see only melee classes are allowed! 3. No time limit, competition ends when someone wins the game. 4. You can die and start new games as much as you like. 5. Changing date for special date effects not allowed. 6. Save-scumming not allowed, of course. 7. Birth sing scumming *is* allowed. ***** The competition has started! Even though I've been playing for 4 years and have yet to win. count me in!! Maybe this will inspire me to play more careful, and not just hold down the arrow key with my melee guys. Kender Never share a foxhole with someone braver than you. |

I've played some 4 years too and have only won once ;) but that was a wizard, the easiest class there is, aye. 1 more competitioner and the race will start! Of course people can join the race later but those who join now have a time advantage. Also post away to let us know how your character's doing! |

first try, my orc barbarian got killed in a huge mixed vault on the bottom of the puppy cave. Just wasn't fair. Ratling fencer disarmed me, and a Lightning lizard zapped me. oh well, this time off to the hurthling monk...wish me luck Never share a foxhole with someone braver than you. |

wow, it has been long since a competition/tournament. I don't know how many are left from those days, but for those that don't know it: that's how I got my "Holy Champion of ADoM" rank in the first place ^^. Anyway I'm sorry to announce that I won't be taking part in the competition, since I simply don't have time to play ADoM enough anymore. And I've already done pretty much everything you can do in it, so I'm just waiting for a new version or JADE. blah, I made a dwarven weaponsmith born in the month of raven, went to terynho then straight to the SMC, met some orcs on the way and went to lv 3 or 4. When I finally entered the UD I had lost only about 10 HP and was lv 7... then my ****** computer crashed...the stupid blue screen appearead...and bye bye a promising char with a lot of steel stuff to smith... I gues I have to take my RAM out and clean the slot or whatever...grr I'm so pissed offf For the Horde! |

My DE ravenous pal was slaughtered in meele by Dark Sage on PC 3... I just don't understand how it happened.. I had a PV of 6, 30 HP and it killed me in two rounds! Ubi patria ibi bene! |

Conan, the human barbarian learned the Art of Healing from Jharod and went to the puppy cave. He found the cute puppy alive but it got slaughtered later by an orc probably. Conan sacrificed some live creatures on the neutral altar he had found on PC:4. After some time, he was awarded the robes of resistance as a precrowning gift and the ancient claymore and lightning immunity as a crowning gift. Conan was not quite satisfied, as he didn't get the legendary shining two-handed sword everyone had been talking about. Then Conan left the puppy cave and is now searching for a way to defeat the evil forces of Chaos! Btw, he's now 50 years old including 26 years of unnatural aging! :x Oh, and a miracle happened when he received a wish from the pool he found. The wish was wasted on red dragon scalemails. had to tell you this one. had an orcish barbarian for the competition. finished puppy cave, VD, and wanted to check out the UD before going on. found a pool on level 2 of UD and got a wish. got amulet of life saving, and was rolling along. found an alter and got all my equip turned to dust. (thought I was still N+, but turned to L) oops, well time to start again. Kender Never share a foxhole with someone braver than you. |

How about gods granting wishes? A 5 percent chance to recieve one via precrown? Heh? Exact chance may vary. Anyway, that'd spice up everyone's life if all knew that it is not a useless 'cat's claw' thay *might* get, but a whole Wish = 3x7LB's or AoLS for example? Ubi patria ibi bene! |

I'm doing pretty well so far. Got a Trollish Barbarian gone good. :D I prefer to be N rather than L or C, since you can be in the thieve's guild and get the barbarian's quest, as well. Anyway, I've done all the stuff near Terinyo and made it into the CoC. My guy had 32 strength and 30 toughness starting out... now he has 33 str and 31 to, I think. Hope this one actually gets somewhere... [EDIT] Surge of Power on D:13! Rune-covered slingshot "Whirlwind!" [EDIT] Mithril Battle Axe of Devastation (+1, 5d6+11)! [EDIT] Crowned Champion of Balance! Immunity to Lightning! Mighty Morningstar "Grod" (+16, 5d10+5) [-8, +0]! [EDIT] AHHHH I just checked my inventory, and I've got a freaking Wand of Wishing with 2 charges!!!
