During yet another encounter with a hostile goodwife (I'm still trying to figure out why anyone in their right mind would attack an 8' 8", 518 lb troll armed with a club): "'Excuse me, I hear the shopkeeper has a sale on!' Jan Erik's experience with spear trap could be possibly explained by partial protection of armor. That is, armor reduced damage but not enough. And Messiah's experience with true berserker mode could possibly be that the char had a thick skin that reduced some damage. Apparently there is only one message for the case where the chars PV (?) protects from damage. Probably there should be several messages for various cases like: -Your armor protects you (wearing armor, damage fully nullified by it) -Your armor partially protects you (wearing armor, damage not fully nullified, Erik's case) -Your thick skin is too tough (no armor, damage fully nullified by natural PV) -Your thick skin resists the blow (no armor, partially nullified) Or something like that |

I'm back after long time.... It's happened in Casino, I played, switch sapce by book;) and heh I was sleep, in real after few hours of game in ADOM... When I wake up, my PC win about 70 000 000 gold:) This gold was legt under my foot;) I cast strange of atlas, wera girdles of gree blesed ofkorzzzz... And pick up;) Ofkorz I was crushed by tons of luggage;) Heh but it's sweet ... you just pick up all cash... |

Craig: nope, and they won't do shopkeepers or the priest i've tested so far... i assume most unique npcs. Oh and do ppl realise that holding down enter is faster then space bar? Me father always wonders why i've wedged the keyboard down while i'm doing the dishes. One other thing - is it common knowledge that spells like strength of atlas, invisability, bless, farsight are cumulative? ie. if you cast them while their already on the affects add. I casteth many a times atlas on myself in the blue dragon caves - wore off at D:50 after doing the mana temple 'n' all. DougyDougy - Dougy - DougyDougy |

Unless you could surround yourself with unique NPCs, I would assume the genie would appear and strangle something that wasn't unique, or appear in an empty space. Die Gedanken sind Frei |
