Actually you don't have to surround urself with unique npcs... if you're surrounded by rats and a shopkeeper - if it's rolled that it'll go into the shopkeeper square, the djinni won't appear at all. I'll try recreate one. You rub the ring... and a huge white djinni appears enveloped by a large cloud. The djinni gives you a surprised look and disappears quickly. Nope, only this text when you chat with him... Maybe he give some reward for tis pc who have special aligment? My necro was chaotical, when I do it... But Filck is chaotic to. And this is no quest only hmmmmm... goodwishing of Filck to kill MM. |

now this one just confused me. "Congratulations! You advance to level 5." might not seem unusual, but here's what was weird about it: i had done nothing. i took a step. there was nothing there, no monster, no unexplored territory, no nothing, except floor. and it leveled me up. weird eh? and if you combine some of the birth messages together it seems weird, i.e. sorc for a mom, she loved & cared for you, uncle told you stories, grandpa helped you out.... and you become a farmer. ivan.sourceforge.net |

Duke: Re: unexplained level gain. There may have been a trap on the floor. If a monster dies in a trap, or gets crushed by a door or some such, then you get the experience (At least you used to) |
