Despite being stone giant lords they did not even scratch the wyrm, no one did. I was quite glad I was wearing a ring of the clear mind when a Master lich was summoned, and a ghost king managed to hit me once. Courage would have been very helpful there. The lich was killed by an air elemental after a fight ensued due to a bouncing lightning bolt. Also despite wearing a ring of invisibility, I was bloated most of my turn, so I didn't munch on any of our morgia.

[double edit] Forgive my absent-mindedness, just remembered that I forgot to post a crucial character development. I found a pool and recieved paralysis resistance, teleportitis (we have control) and a learning reduction.

Wow, well a nice final send-off you gave Rhea, Soirana. Good work on staying crowned and getting the PoGA, and on defeating the Earth temple of course, as well as everything else you did (quite a busy 2000 turns!) Seems we've gotten pretty lucky with our corruptions - the 3 we've got at the mo are quite decent.

I have recieved the file, and read the preceding
report. I am playing now.

With as much as you accomplish in your 2000 turns
Soirana, you should give the limited turns
challenge a try.

Well I've got pretty unlucky with corruptions... You wouldn't want to see the ones i removed.

And i repeat i didn't get PoGA cause Rhea was at NC on moment white unicorn died.

Limited turns?.. As soon as i am done with Fling Bling, Zen Monk, Brimstone man and get some spare time.

And don't overvaluate my speed:( I did earth temple in 200 turns just because i hate that place and i tried to speed it up always. Honestly i usualy go for boozed fireballs in nearlyt all my games.

I did not realize this meant you hadn't gotten
the reward. Sorry. I also did not talk to the
black unicorn.

Sometimes I use that method, and it is MUCH
safer. It does take more turns though, to drop
the good wands in a safe place, do the selling,
and come back. I just made sure that I was very
careful, and did not make a mistake.

You entered the Mana Temple without checking your gear? ARE YOU SANE? Sorry... I can't reproach you since shes still alive but the stat drains can be fatal now if we dont do anything for it.

WHOA. It almost looked like we got messed up in the Mana Temple. Seriuosly, I didn't believe it could be that hard.... I thought she had great equipment and good chances for doing it. We got some luck on our side.

I suggest we should build up our stats before doing anything else, I know it can be annoying to waste your play turns without any progression but it is essential right now.

Darren... Good Job on slaying Nuurag.

Yeah, sorry, was incredibly stupid of me. I mostly blame the fact that I did the Mana Temple with a different character so recently - very confusing for the mind. Who else can say they've killed Nuurag-Vaarn twice in one day...? Seriously thought I was dead at certain points - was very very lucky to get out alive.

As for the stats... well, I still think they're okayish. Thankfully toughness wasn't touched. We don't need Le any more, and Dex is still decent (currently reduced by 6 points from a corruption). Biggest problem is strength - we're gonna lose the fire orb soon, and we can't survive with 16 St. A giant vault would be handy, as would spending our latest wish on a GoGS. Another problem is healing - was hoping I'd find some potions in the BDC, but no luck. Could keep slaughtering dragons on the upper levels there till we find more (normal dragons can't see invis, making them easy targets). Otherwise we'll need to sac some gold at an altar to restore piety a bit.

When you wrote she was "butchered", I was certain she actually died. Don't you ever scare me like that again, or I will find out where you live, swim over and brutally murder you in your sleep.

Edited one time? That means, what you wrote the
first time was worse!!! : )

That seems like an action packed 2000 turns.
Several near death experiences, stat draining
miseries (and a few recoveries), some nicely
failed alchemical experiments, ump-teen exp.
level ups, and one dead Archmage. Above all,
Rhea is still alive, and one step closer to
victory.

Seriously, the stat drains mean next to nothing
at this point in the game. The goal was to get
Rhea through the Mana Temple alive. There are
many PoGA waiting on the surface, from the black
unicorn. If I had not foolishly passed them up
in the first place, I'm sure the MT would have
been much easier. All I needed to do was glance
at the stats, to know we hadn't collected the
PoGA yet, but I just didn't notice. Oh, well.

I really don't think D:50 will be a problem. It
was the MT that was the turning point. Rhea does
have sources of darkness, and that will rule all
of the 'chaos' goons. Invisibility for the ghosts
(and most summoned monsters), and slaying ammo for
the demons (we have a scroll of repair for the
broken ones too).

I second the GoGS wish, for additional carrying
cappacity and increased melee damage.

I think he's more annoyed with the fact that my opening statement wrongly implied Rhea had been killed (though it was ambiguous). Quite a cruel prank on my part, I will admit, but I guess I wanted to communicate fully the feeling of "oh shit, she's dead" I had several times in the Mana Temple. Was really convinced she'd not make it out alive and I'd have to tell you guys I'd ballsed up big time.

Darren, I don't think I'm mistaken, Silfir "the killer' wrote I could play Rhea and if I get her killed that no one will "rip 'my' head off", two days after it's no one but Silfir himself. He probably wants to keep the pleasure for himself! -D

I'm trying to put it gently - and in icelandic. The reason for it taking so long is, well, I simply do not speak or write icelandic. But, since I have already sworn to make Rhea's final rapport in this fashion, I have started a Bachelor's Degree in Icelandic and I am happy to announce that things are running very smoothly. We have just begun translating small chunks of children literature texts and I am confident that there will be a new update on Rhea by the end of 2011.

Don't get your hopes up though, it might take an additional year - Icelandic is changing rapidly!

Exciting times, for sure.

I thought icelandic was one of the most conservative, non-changing languages in the world...so much so that an Icelander might still understand old norse writings about Vikings. Which we Norwegians sure don't.

And they rarely borrow terms from other languages, they usually make up their own words for the same meaning.

margarine = smjørliki (something butter-alike)
barometer = loftvog (air-weight)

So to translate ADOM into Icelandic you would probably need to make up good old-fashioned words for "Protection Value" ("spjutstoggeverde?") and "Greater Moloch" ("storhelvitijävel")

Good luck
