Please do! We wouldn't have minded at all even before your victory, and we most certainly don't now!

I'm inclined to believe Iridia would have mentioned it if she went away for a prolonged period of time. We should wait a little longer. Still, vogonpoet (or Subconscious, whichever of you is after Iridia), don't disappear on us in the next couple of days...

Strange. I did mail it to you. Also, I sent you an email just minutes ago containing the file again, not having seen your forum post.

Strange things happen in this world...

But seriously, I did send it to you!

Got it. Yahoo sucks.

Khelly has his amulet and we have our SoCR, most of which I stashed in a cache on his level. I explored the rest of the level and killed a gorgon (amulet of free action ftw), and a cat (sorry).

The forest has the up and down stairs surrounded by doors now, for handy teleportation. The up stairs' doors are closed but not locked, the down stairs' doors are locked.

Made level 18. Increased Healing and got Greased Lightning for a talent.

Returned to Dwarftown, collected the wand of fireballs, and got another quest. I'm in the middle of the ogre caves at the moment, wearing the mummy wrapping. We need to train strength; Rhea's running around strained most of the time--I suggest next person should take advantage of Garth a bit for strength training.

Wouldn't the ogre corpses do that?

At a 17 STR, ogres aren't doing much anymore. Worth eating, though, just in case.

The cat was just a mistyped direction key, unfortunately. I wish I'd had the excuse of a door trap, but it was just a plain ol' stupid move.

OK, spear of hunting and stomacemptiadiaRhea or whatever its called will indeed be deployed later - file received, so thanks Iridia <ok>.

Luckily for our republic, I didn't check my email when I came home from the pub last night, so will play once home from work this evening. Luckily for our republic, I don't have ADOM installed at work, so I might just be sober by time I play.

Y'know I'm quite surprised we got this far without killing cats - it seemed quite inevitable at some point. Just glad it wasn't me :P Means that someone's gonna get to have fun with the cat lord later. Personally I'm now gonna slaughter every cat I see - might even hunt down the ones we've got locked away on different levels ;)

Ogre corpses can take St up to about 20 or so. Blessed ones work better of course.

The longer you go without killing cats, the more likely it is that you never will kill one, because you have more ways to avoid it and because cats become rarer in the mid game to late game.

At least in a single player game, that is :(

I know each senator has the privilege to act as they wish, but i'd like a little bit of counseling, if ya know what i mean =). After subconscious goes, I'm trying to think what we'll need to work on.

If anyone knows of any things that Rhea needs (boring or otherwise), let me know. I'm perfectly willing to spend my turns buffing her up however necessary =P. I will say that i have 0 experience with any sort of sickness/starvation based training, that sort of thing.

EDIT: have we not yet recovered the Sword of Nonnak btw?

Don't worry about sickness/starvation abuse - at the moment regular training with morgia for Toughness is all that's needed (though that can be done as the game goes by as long as you remember to keep chewing the root). Dwarf quests need finishing off, with maybe the daemon used to exterminate Glod (need to get smithing from him first though). Sword of Nonnak unrecovered, High Kings dungeon next in line for exploration methinks. Smithing could be done if you kill Glod (daemon or lure him off the level or use a powerful pet). Also it ain't really all that necessary. More mining could be done for crystals of knowledge, though the few we have should raise Le to a nice level.

Sounds like something I would post.

Well, it's kind of hard to plan ahead. You might
recieve your turn on level 25 of the ID, you
never know. I think the next big jobs to be done,
would be collecting the water orb and the RotHK.
I think the water orb would be the easier of the
two. With our nice crystals of darkness, combined
with our invisibility cloak, the water temple
should pose no danger. Not even the snake can
fight in the dark.

I was just looking at the latest screenshot,
willpower used to be 25, but is now 24. When did
Rhea get drained? On the bright side, her HP's
are almost respectable now, yay! We should really
think about putting some of that bling to work
for us. Piety, Garth training, something.

Quick questions then, as i didn't really utilize darkness on my last playthrough (7LB's + bolts in hall did the job)

Can you throw the crystals of darkness? regardless, is the usual plan to just shoot missiles past them into the darkness (assuming they just stand still, which they should)? Because that seems like the plan that I would go with it. Oh, and last time (the first time) i fought the daemon, again, bolt spells did the job. I know he's a stat drainer, although i never experienced it, but how hard does he hit, and how well? I wouldn't expect him to be that bad, more annoying than anything else seemed to be daemon in general.

We have arrows of demon slaying and quarrels of humanoid slaying - both will make short work of him, especially if blessed. Otherwise we have a tasty selection of melee weapons. He doesn't have that much PV, so the long sword of devastation would be my weapon of choice (again, better if blessed - a critical could kill him in one hit).

Killing Glod before getting smithing would indeed be a mistake. Killing Glod before doing a bit more mining not really recommended either.

My next step would be finish Arena, then do a bit more herb farming, then do a bit of mining, then do a bit of herb farming, then etc, until ore gems and herbs we have in plenty. Gotta love those gems. We can flog them and turn them into stat training. And some piety maybe, suspect we are pretty low right now.

We should definitely do a bit more stash consolidation too - we have huge heaps of stuff all over the place we can flog/use/stick in the OC.

Btw, its a good things i just spent like 15 mins figuring this out. I had no idea how to check how many turns I've played until just now =p considering the handy ? key didn't explain how to check turns played in the keybindings, i ended up trying random button combinations until i realized that alt + certain letter keys changed whats shown in the bottom right corner of the screen =p

The ? keybindings does show how to display that, it is refered to as the dynamic display. Flog means to beat or use a wip on, so what are you talking about. I'm trying to picture a gnome wipping gems until they transform into stats, but it isn't working. I'ma guess your british based on that.
